Femtosecond stimulated Raman spectroscopy (FSRS)

The method of choice is a recently developed time-resolved vibrational technique known as femtosecond stimulated Raman spectroscopy (FSRS). FSRS is a three pulse technique (Figure 1A) in which the temporal resolution is determined by two femtosecond pulses (Actinic Pump & Probe) while the spectral resolution is completely dictated by convolution of frequency bandwidth of picosecond Raman excitation pulse  (Figure 1B) and the intrinsic vibrational dephasing time of the mode.
